MURALS & PORTABLE IMAGES

Since 1997 I have been professionally engaged in the murals(wall paintings) and portable icons.

Most of my works belong to the Macedonian School.

Murals is done in my workshop in Athens, strictly following the tradition of Byzantine art.

The murals are painted, with traditional colors(mineral powders), on high quality cotton canvas and placed in the Church with special care and technique with special glue, and the final finishing is done locally.

The portable icons are painted on both solid wood and plywood treated in the traditional way. The colors of the icons are egg-colored iconography powders(egg tempera).

The background of the icons can be either color or 22K gold foil.The golden background can be made with either the olive gilding technique or the water gilding technique,with or without wrought iron byzantine ornaments(tsoukaniko).

My works exist both in Greece and in the United States of America.
